Key responsibilities (text) In Australia, there are 13 IKEA units, which include 10 stores, a Distribution Centre, a Service Office, and a Remote Customer Meeting Point. These stores are situated in several major capital cities, and IKEA Australia has recently opened three Plan and Order Points. Overall, the Australian market has over 4000 co-workers who serve as leaders in promoting a life at home.
The IKEA food business is the 6th biggest food chain in the world, providing healthy snacks and meals with a uniquely Swedish flavour to millions of people every year. Within Australia we meet 6 million IKEA Food customers a year, with a turnover of approximately $90 million. We integrate local flavours with our Swedishness, by serving and feeding the many people of Australia, priced at a level that makes IKEA Food irresistible. Food is unique in IKEA, where it can only be experienced in the store, therefore becoming more and more of a reason for our customers to visit.

Team vision (text) In this role you will be responsible for ensuring Food is a key growth driver through providing an inspiring and unique Food experience that will enable extraordinary and sustainable growth. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the positioning of Food as a driver for growth, visitation, customer experience and brand positioning.
- Accountable for total profit and loss of IKEA Food in Australia, quality of food, food safety, IKEA standards, legal compliance and customer experience.
- Monitor and review Food financial results, identify opportunities and initiate solution focused changes.
- Drive a seamless Food experience and maximise conversion within all customer meeting points to enable extraordinary growth.
- Act as a member of the Commercial Management team and proactively contribute to the IKEA Business Plan, Commercial Plan, Commercial Calendar process and ensure collaboration with cross functional stakeholders to achieve goals.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing Food team that will strongly contribute to reach the common objectives and goals (growth, profitability, brand positioning, customer experience).
- Contribute as a key speaking and senior management partner for the Food Managers in the 10 markets across Australia, whilst being part of the larger global network that offers direction and support.

With your entrepreneurial spirit you are bold to explore new and innovative opportunities that increases customer value and navigate the unknown in an agile and fluid way.
Through your strong proven leadership, you have the ability to drive and deliver extraordinary growth, maximise Food sales and contribute to an excellent commercial food experience that meets our customers needs. You also possess strong project management skills and have the ability to lead and implement change in processes and ways of working effectively and seamlessly.
