AddressOur client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Cutover Manager to join their team. The Cutover Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of cutover activities for complex projects, ensuring seamless transitions from old systems/processes to new ones.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise project management, cutover deployment and release management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive cutover plans detailing tasks, timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including project managers, business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure alignment on cutover activities
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions during cutover activities
- Lead and manage the execution of cutover activities according to the established plan, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime
- Address any issues or roadblocks that arise during the cutover process, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines and objectives
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on cutover progress, issues, and resolutions
- Maintain accurate documentation of cutover plans, activities, issues, and resolutions for future reference and audits
- Provide support and assistance to teams and end-users following the cutover to ensure a successful transition and minimize disruptions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in cutover management or similar roles, preferably in a large-scale project environment
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
