The Cyber Defence & Security Integration Crew, a part of the wider Group Security Technology function, provides security controls and services that are utilised across the group. The team is responsible for the delivery of effective security services and continuous assurance over enterprise security controls within the bank and across its group entities.
As an organisation with a large number of online applications, we need to protect ourselves from all types of online attacks, which are growing in frequency every day. Our role is to provide security services & products to our key business stakeholders ensuring we protect CBA customers from internal & external threats.

In this role you will provide level 3 operational and implementation build, support, troubleshoot and solutioning for Third Party Security Applications
- Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional scrum teams
- Implementing and maintaining new security technologies and controls across the bank
- Use a broad range of technical skills to solve problems
- Collect, analyse and manage data to inform decision making
- Contribute to solution design, build and operationalisation
- Interface with other technical teams to implement security solutions
Your experience :
You will have:
- A broad technical experience including Server and Workstations (primarily Windows), Networking and implementation of various security tools like Application control solutions like Airlock across large organisations
- Ongoing maintenance, uplift and ownership of technical solutions, including; creating and improving technical processes, continuous improvement of the solution, and direct user education and support
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to systematically troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Designing, Building, Rolling out security solutions to a diverse user/devices environment within a large high risk organisation
- Be comfortable developing scripts to automate processes, support automated build, deploy and config for CI/CD pipeline
- Experience configuring, packaging, supporting and deploying third party software
Desirable skills:
- Experience in ACSC Essential Eight related projects
- Proficient in Windows Server and Workstation operating systems with respect to local security, Active Directory and Group Policy (Linux in addition is also preferable)
- Utilising a SIEM to search and monitor for device related security events
