About The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Strategy Architecture Compliance and Risk, the Cyber Security and Compliance Analyst balances the security posture with the operating model of the organisation. Your analysis of vulnerability will see you engaging with reporting systems and monitoring the security attack surface, undertaking business based remediations and ensuring that all the security elements are working properly. The position acts as a liaison regarding license renewals and vendor requests for assessment, and engages with ICT to ensure patches are appropriate when required. You will collaborate with our legal function regarding privacy laws that affect student information and will be responsible for internal and external audits in addition to remediating any non-compliance. You will need to be able to blend the technical, governance and stakeholder engagement aspects of the role in this exciting opportunity to own the Cyber Security function.
We are excited about you because you have:

  • A tertiary degree in ICT or a similar field
  • Enterprise level Cyber Security experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO27001 / NIST / Essential 8 / VPDSF / RFFR
  • Compliance and audit experience
  • Familiarity with data security (Cryptography, Firewalls, SSL, Digital Certificates)
  • Experience in Cloud and hosted Security (SaaS / PaaS / IaaS / Hybrid Cloud)
  • Cyber security certification and/or relevant experience
  • Certification and/or demonstrated understanding of Cyber Security Compliance Audits
