Our Federal Government client is currently seeking to engage a qualified and experience Cyber Security Consultant to join their team on a long term engagement. The perfect candidate will be proactive and preferably have experience in an APS and/or Defence environment.
Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain a security clearance will be considered for this role.
The experience and skills for this role are:
- Governance across the Cyber Security program of work from an assurance perspective
- Policy guidance and compliance to address services accountabilities
- Developing and maintaining security accreditation documentation
- Continuous improvement of the Cyber Security reporting and oversight of in- service capabilities including support to sustainment activities
- Conducting planned periodic ICT security vulnerability and risk assessments
- Identifying risks, tasks and schedules for security activities
- Planning and conduct of stage audits to ensure compliance and accountabilities
- Managing, and providing advice in relation to security incidents, including reporting
- Identifying risks, these may include but not limited to support to:
- Security vulnerabilities investigations
- Security incident handling (XP188)
- Accreditation risks
- Patching and compliance
- Tooling deficiencies
- Delivery of services from providers
- Develop and manage security awareness and implementation of solutions
- Identifying and reporting on potential security improvements
