One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is looking to engage a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to deliver Engineering and Administrative services for security infrastructure tools and platforms. The successful Cyber Security Engineerwill be offered a 12 month contract with a further 2 years of extensions.
The successful Cyber Security Engineerwill be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Maintaining SPLUNK infrastructure and similar products
- Logging ingestion from hybrid hosting platforms, including Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Applying Cyber Security techniques, threats and vulnerabilities to mitigate Cyber Security risks
- Working within a team environment and share knowledge.
The successfulCyber Security Engineerwill have experience in the following:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a Cyber Security field with technical tertiary qualifications, Microsoft or Splunk certifications advantageous.
- Experience maintaining SPLUNK infrastructure, or managing a similar product
- Demonstrated knowledge of log ingestion from hybrid hosting platforms, including Azure and Amazon Web Services.
- In depth understanding of current Cyber Security techniques to mitigate risks and experience with Linux systems.
