The Role

  • This role is a high profile, customer facing leadership role to manage and enable successful delivery of Cyber Security operations capabilities including  privileged access management, enterprise password vault and application whitelisting services and related operational security capabilities.
  • The Manager, Cyber Security (Privilege Access Management) leads a team of  Cyber Security professionals.
  • The  role will leverage strategic planning, leadership, customer service and advisory skills to enhance security operations management and support the development and execution of statewide proactive Cyber Defense and Privilege Access Management and Application Whitelisting strategies and approaches.
  • The role will lead in a complex and often-ambiguous environment with evolving information and business needs. The role requires effective  multi-tasking, resource prioritization and an ability to engage with key customers and stakeholders.

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience in Security Operations, SOC Management, Incident Response, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Privileged Access Management  in the Cyber Security operational environment.  
  • Demonstrated skills in tactical, operational, and strategic-level threat intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of cyber defence strategies, specifically in context of Privileged access management, in a large, complex and geographically dispersed service delivery organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and developing Privileged Access Management, Security Operations, Incident and Threat Response capabilities, managing and coordinating security response in a large, complex and geographically dispersed organization.
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment.
  • Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the enterprise.
  • Proven ability in leadership, management and supervisory roles of technical/professional staff to develop and maintain an effective motivated team.
  • Highly developed skills across a wide range of Cyber Security solutions (i.e., PAM, SIEM, SOAR, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Anti-Virus, EDR etc.) including expert knowledge in Incident Response processes, Privileged Access Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management and management of Security Operations.

Our Offer

You will receive a salary value between $146,510 - $155,025 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO8) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
