Coliban Water provides water, sewage and reclaimed water services to 49 towns in North Central Victoria. Based in beautiful Bendigo, we are one of the largest Victorian regional urban water corporations.
We are currently looking for an Cyber Security Officer to join our Information and Systems team on a full time basis. The Cyber Security Officer is a multi-faceted role incorporating management of IT security projects, operation and administration of security systems, technical design and support functions for security across all information systems, and incident response.
A snapshot of your day
As our Cyber System Officer, you’ll be accountable for:
- Implementing Security controls prioritised in the Information Security program of works.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the IT security baseline including standards, processes, and controls for all aspects of IT infrastructure and operations.
- Proactively overseeing and mentoring the IT Operations team to continuously improve their IT Security, and compliance with baseline requirements.
- Identifying threat intelligence relevant to Coliban Water and act on it to ensure IT Security is effective against historical, current, and emerging threats.
- Receiving escalations from and escalate to IT Operations support agents to support timely resolution of service desk tickets.
- Working with other Coliban Water technology staff to design and implement appropriate security controls for all information systems.

To be considered for the role you’ll be tertiary qualified in IT, computer science or a similar field and have a detailed understanding and experience of IT security practices, along with demonstrated experience in digital forensics and incident response.
Salary:The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4, $91,714 to $110,681 (excluding super) salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
