This is a Canberra based role requiring the successful candidate to be on site 3 days per week
A Cyber Security SME is required to provide specialist advice and support to the Cyber Security Delivery Lead. The Cyber Security Delivery Lead will contribute to the Department’s future Cyber Security approach, ensuring that the requirements identified in any sourcing transaction align with the Departments ICT and Cyber Security strategy and direction. The Cyber Security SME will work as part of a leveraged team of technical, commercial, and service delivery specialists under the direction of the Cyber Security Delivery Lead.
The core functions to be performed by the Cyber Security SME include, but are not limited, to the following:
Working with a diverse array of stakeholders to identify and develop Cyber Security requirements for inclusion in approaches to market;
Developing documentation on both current state and future state requirements and other relevant documentation as required; and
Supporting the Cyber Security Bundle Lead, Sourcing Lead, Program Manager and Program Office in their deliverables.
The Cyber Security SME should have the following skills and experience.
Essential
Demonstration of comprehensive knowledge of ICT and Cyber Security technologies and best practices by having 3+ years’ experience in similar role within a medium/large size organisation.
Certification and/or membership to relevant professional organisations including certification in any of the following: CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM, SABSA, GIAC and SANs.
Demonstrated experience in implementing Government ICT outsourcing arrangements, including experience in requirements development, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and service implementation.
Demonstrated experience in implementing Cyber Security services across large scale ICT delivery environment, including within Government.
Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills to facilitate smooth transitions and minimise disruption.
Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills. The ability to clearly articulate requirements, expectations and outcomes is essential.
The ability to present information and communicate expectations across conflicting priorities/workloads.
Ability to work under pressure with close attention to detail. This includes the ability to plan, coordinate, and track the progress of various activities within agreed timelines.
