AddressI'm working with a Federal Government department to find a Cyber Security Engineer.
This is an initial 12 month initial contract with 2 x 12 month extensions. This position can be located in: ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC or TAS.
You will be required to:
- Design, implement, and manage Cyber Security solutions outlined in the departments Strategic Technology Roadmap to progressively strengthen our Cyber Security posture.
- Ensure governance and compliance through application of the PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, through collaboration with ACSC, DTA, ANAO
- Coordinate operations to monitor security for systems, vulnerability management, perimeter services and event logging.
- Ensure the accuracy and implementation of safety and security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

- Perimeter Services, Firewall, Web Security Appliances
- Vulnerability Management
- Identify and Access Management
- Be an Australian citizen
- Have an active security clearance
