Mater's Digital Technology and Information division is looking for a Senior Software Developer for D365 Finance and Operations (FinOps), to join our Data and Digital Solutions team. Reporting into the Product Manager - D365 & Power Platforms, you will be integral in building high-quality, innovative and fully performing maintainable software.
As a senior member in the team you will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to the other team members
Salary range: $115,450 - $123,901 (MCAS level 7) per year plus 10.5% superannuation and NFP salary packaging benefits.
What you'll be doing
Typical tasks will include:
Assists the technical lead in architecting robust, reusable development frameworks
Contribute towards establishment of policies & principles across the team
Design, Build and Unit test software solutions
Provide expertise on the development technical interface specifications, logical and physical architectures
Seeks to address consumer needs by ensuring the business requirements are broken down into development tasks
Assists towards grooming of the development backlog
Contributes towards development of efficient change & release management frameworks
Contributes to knowledge sharing by documenting in Corporate Document Management systems
Undertakes code reviews
Assists the tech lead towards training & mentoring for skill gaps within the team
Maintains in-depth knowledge of technology applications and emerging technologies
Effectively manages multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines
Problem solving complex production issues
Provide On Call support as and when required
About you
Ideally, we are looking for people who are/have:
Expert levels of both written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project or similar products
Is naturally curious about, and fluent in, external or internal customer processes and problems, and is obsessed with solving those problems effectively
Is effective in translating business requirements into development tasks and work packages and tracking daily tasks in tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.
Knowledge in ITIL functions
Tertiary qualifications computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience
Technical skills
Exceptional understanding on developing customisations for D365 Finance and Operations (FinOps) modules - AP, GL, Core, Operational
Experience in designing & developing solutions using Power Platform - Power Apps (Canvas Apps, Model Driven Apps, Power Automate Flows, Dataverse and/or SQL), using premium and non-premium connectors.
Experience in administering D365 FinOps environments and Power Platform environments
Strong experience in interfacing D365 solutions using native connectors or APIs to various integration platforms
Ability to program in various programming languages including - C# /.Net / Java based technologies / Python / JavaScript
Demonstrated experience in using CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, GitHub / similar tool sets
Experience in using source control tools such as Azure Repos, GitHub, Bit Bucket.
