About the Role
The role is located in Canberra & is Office based.
As a member of the Daily Operations Team, this role is vital to the reputation and services we strive to maintain to those most vulnerable within our community.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Daily rostering client & participant services in line with funding structures, preferences and respecting choices.
- Review employee timesheets prior to approvals.
- Point of contact for employees, clients & participants during work hours.
- Upholding positive stakeholder engagement through point of contact and up lining calls as per policies and procedures to the correct role.
- Incident reporting requirements and up lining of complaints and serious incidents to supervisor.
- Updating employee and client files with all calls / emails received to NCCs high standard of effective documentation and recording keeping practices.
- Ability to deescalate heightened situations prioritizing participant and employee safety with the ability to upline to supervisor when required.
- Assist with recruitment of new staff related to scope, interviewing and onboarding employees (with training).
- Identify staff shortages, assist with problem solving to find a solution proactively.
- Assist and provide input into policies and process reviews.
- Ability to work within a rotation of shifts (6am - 2pm and 2pm till 10pm) Mon-Fri to support the team with responding to sick calls, shift cancelations etc.
- Auditing employee and participant files for compliance.
- Attendance at regular staff meetings.
- Opportunity if qualified within Aged Care/Home and Community Care may be re-deployed to undertake community shifts due to staff shortages.
Background skills and experience:
- Paid experience working as a Scheduler or Rostering assistant.
- Paid experience / qualification within the community / disability / aged care sector preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of the NDIS / Aged Care or willingness to learn.
- Rostering services with consideration of employee entitlements and employer industrial implement (Awards).
- Outstanding verbal and written skills
- Experience working with staff on all levels with various communication methods
- Ability to strategize and solve problems within a team or autonomously
- Effective organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience in Emergency Crisis
Suitable candidate MUST possess the following Licenses and qualifications:
- National Police Check
- WWVP Card with NDIS and Children ticked yes
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Up to date vaccinations - Covid 19 1-3 vaccinations and Annual influenza
- 100 Points of Identification
- 2 Professional referees
- Ability to start ASAP
