Dairy Manager

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Dairy Manager to join our team at the Foodies Market Duncraig IGA. As the Dairy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our dairy department, ensuring the highest standards of quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the dairy department, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising dairy products.
• Ensure proper rotation and handling of dairy products to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts to optimize product availability.
• Train, supervise, and motivate dairy department staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Implement effective pricing strategies and promotions to drive sales and maximise profitability.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dairy department, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and secure favorable terms.
• Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry developments to enhance the dairy department's offerings.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the retail or grocery industry, with a focus on dairy products preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Knowledge of dairy products, including proper handling and storage practices.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.

• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
