About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Dangerous Goods Officer to join our growing team at New Directions Australia in our Sydney Head Office.
In this role you will work within our Dispatch team and will be responsible for overseeing the creation of Dangerous Goods documentation and packaging of products of a Dangerous Goods nature.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Managing the efficient flow of Shipping documentation for Dangerous Goods between customs agents, customers, and transport companies.
- Identify and resolve any issues and discrepancies.
- Generating Dangerous goods documentation including labelling and packing boxes, pallets, IBCs, and Shipping Containers
- Ensuring rules and regulations of the IMDG, ADG, IATA are adhered to.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail while meeting performance targets and KPIs.
- Ordering Materials to pack Dangerous Goods for transport.
- Providing Weights and Dimensions of Goods to the Sales Team
About you:
- Experience with manual handling.
- A competent understanding of Work, Health, and Safety Requirements.
- Must be organised and competent to complete tasks, unsupervised.
- You’re a self-starter that enjoys working in a busy operation environment.
- Strong MS Office and Outlook Skills
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- A current Dangerous Goods certificate in Maritime and Air Desirable but not essential
