About our Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Analyst with Human Resources and employee data experience to immerse themselves into a collaborative People and Culture project team. As a Data Analyst in this domain, you will be responsible for handling data analysis, profiling, testing, and ensuring data integrity and quality within our data domain. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting regulatory requests and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, perform data analysis, and provide insights that drive strategic decisions, regulatory compliance, and support M&A activities
You will work closely with the Project Stream Lead, People Data Foundations Lead, People System Analysts, Domain Architect, Data Engineers and external Vendors.
What you will do
- Utilise advanced analytical techniques to derive insights from large datasets related to HRIS, payroll, and other relevant metrics.
- Interpret findings and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Conduct thorough examination and analysis of data to understand its structure, quality, and relationships within the people data domain.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and potential data quality issues
- Define User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Manage sprint goals, story estimation and provide clearly documented outcomes
- Recommend areas for improvement in business processes/systems
- Manage business expectations
- Clearly articulate the user story and acceptance criteria to the Quality Assurance team
- Utilise Jira to manage backlog, sprints, sprint burndown reports, providing project updates
What we are looking for
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
- Proficiency in Tableau/PowerBI/Excel
- A bachelor's degree in business or technology related field
- Experience working across large projects/programs of work
- Integration experience across multiple platforms
- Payroll experience is necessary
- People and Culture experience would be highly regarded
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal relationship building
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Visio, Word.
- Strong skills and experience in Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent planning, organisational, coordination and time management skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive conversation to outcome clarity.
