About the role
The Machine Learning function plays a pivotal role in driving the analytical solutions strategy to be a source of differentiation relative to our competitors. This function is critical to understanding deep customer needs to drive optimal margin and market share outcomes. This is achieved via the use of advanced analytics, predictive modelling and optimisation algorithms.
This role will predominantly focus on supporting the usage analytics function by providing detailed usage profile analysis for different key business functions, e.g. pricing, VPP.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Understand interval meter data structure.
- Extract and analyse customer level usage data.
- Provide detailed usage analysis for tariff optimisation function.
- Understand the impact of PV and battery on customer usage.
- Develop reporting to monitor usage profile.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Fulfil ad hoc insights requests.
- Assist with other analytics related activities such as, but not limited to, VPP.
About you
- Strong data analysis skills, developed through tertiary study and/or 5+ years of experience in previous roles.
- Proficient in the use of SQL, Excel
- Evidence of using insights to support improved decisioning.
- Experience in building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to take ownership of initiatives, prioritise and deliver on time.
- Prior experience with Tableau highly preferred
- Prior experience in the energy industry highly preferred
