About The Role

The Business Account Manager reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is accountable for growth, margin and net customer targets through the acquisition and retention of new and existing business customers,. 

The role delivers strategic initiatives within a defined regional geographic location to manage the retention of existing business customers and the acquisition of strategic business customers.  The Business Account Manager is required to display strong ‘hunter and “farmer” attributes that facilitates the necessary behaviors for the team to succeed. 

Key duties will include but not be limited to:

• Achieve growth in new business sales in the allocated territory or segment
• Communicate sales leads and new business opportunities through operational excellence
• Reporting results and compliance to CRM/sales tools
• Develop and conduct account management reviews for assigned portfolio
• Resigning of existing customer portfolio in line with revenue and profitability objectives
• Grow customer profitability and sales volume in assigned portfolio
• Provide timely and relevant competitor information and market intelligence
• Operational excellence in day-to-day management of the business through a defined pipeline
• Support business planning with key internal and external stakeholders to align on desired KPI’s
• Develop strategic relationships within the region through networking and community engagement events
• Collaborate with internal Origin teams such as Origin Zero to ensure a coordinated approach to customers

• Comply with Origin HSE, codes of practice, standards, policies, and operating procedures

We are looking for a candidate who is driven, persuasive and have a passion for sales and customer service.

2. Extensive experience in B2B sales
3. Excellent influencing and communication skills, with an ability to communicate with large and small business stakeholders
4. History of meeting or exceeding sales targets with commercial and industrial customers
5. Works collaboratively with different stakeholders to deliver great tailored solutions to customers and for Origin
6. Existing commercial relationships with potential clients and partners throughout Mackay -Gladstone region are ideal for Origin’s business growth strategy
