CR Digital is seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer, Mining Operations with a strong understanding of the mining value chain and availability to travel frequently to customer sites across the East Coast of Australia.

About the role
As part of our CR Powered by Epiroc Digital team and reporting to the Manager Mining Analytics, you will be responsible for developing and delivering data insights to enable data driven decisions for our customers in a highly collaborative and consultative process. Your work will be key to enabling our customers to obtain, sustain and increase value from their investments in the CRD portfolio of products.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Engaging with customers in a highly collaborative and consultative capacity understanding their onsite requirements and constrains whilst also translating critical data into a meaningful customer story.
- Effectively communicate complex data findings to mining engineering clients in a clear and concise manner, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement through comprehensive data analysis.
- Develop compelling customer presentations that effectively communicate data insights and improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with CR internal Stakeholders to provide data analyses insights to support sales objectives, pre-sales data analysis, support sales presentations and sales demonstrations etc.
- Prepare and develop detailed reports summarising data analysis results using innovative software and data analysis products.
- Maintain accurate documentation of analysis methodologies, datasets and outcomes.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in data analysis and developing key insights and recommendations that deliver tangible outcomes.
- Experience leading and executing improvement initiatives, translating ideas into plans that are feasible, innovative and customer focussed.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software
- Excellent communications, listening and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently when required.
- Mining experience with an understanding of open cut mining specifically truck & shovel/load haul practices.
- Confident in public speaking and presenting to technical customers from the CEO level down.
- Specific experience with SQL, Python, Tibco Spotfire and Power BI would be considered highly desirable.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to lead through influence across multi-functional teams.
- Degree qualified in Engineering with a focus on mechanical systems/technology/computer science is advantageous.
- Ability to travel to customer sites across Australia.
