Scope of the role:
On Site Data Centre Technician working in the local Sydney area- 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday with the opportunity of overtime. The position requires an experienced customer focused applicant with knowledge of dealing with internal works of live Data Centre operations.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, testing and commissioning of various electrical and cabling systems across Data Centres and Commercial premises
- Work with a team of Technicians and project managers to successfully deliver electrical and communications projects in accordance with SKS’s standards and to meet project timeframes.
- Ensuring customer concerns and complaints are proactively addressed
- Demonstrate competence in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, colleagues and Managers of the Company
- Demonstrate strong autonomous incentive management skills.
- Ensuring the appropriate and timely use of allocated company devices
- Effectively manage administrative requirements including call reports and timesheets
- Ability to determine job priorities and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes
- Ensure highest level of presentation, including individual and vehicle presentation
- Strengthening current customer relationships and create networking opportunities within the business community
- detailed preparation and recording of internal and external correspondence
- development and maintenance of comprehensive contract filing systems
- timely management of daily procurement and commercial documentation
- setting and maintaining administration standards and best practices in NSW
- Assisting in administering project procurement and activities to support the teams as required
- Assisting with the compilation of documentation for monthly progress claims.
- Obtaining quotations, raising purchase orders and ordering materials as directed.
- Assisting with the administration of subcontracts.
- Assisting with the preparation of site reporting/documents
- Updating and maintaining project registers.

Qualification
- Electrical license e.g. A Grade
- Open cabling license with a structured endorsement
- Construction induction card
- Current Australian driver’s license
- Experience in a similar role within the electrical and data communications industry
- Solid understanding of the relevant codes and industry standards within the field of work
- Pass a Police Check
