The job on offer

We're seeking an experienced Data Driven Customer Experience (DDCX) Manager to support the Digital Customer Experience team in accelerating the growth of the Data Driven CX offer. This senior position will report to the DDCX Offer Lead and will be working with colleagues and SMEs across the Digital Customer Experience and Insight and Data departments amongst others.

This role will focus on driving value into the practice, by identifying new opportunities and excelling on delivery, you'll be an SME that is willing to talk to large scale external events, and internal community events to drive awareness of the offer and accelerate growth through sales opportunities supporting both the UK and EU business. This role will require strong communication and relationship skills and will need to be a self-starter.

Ultimately this person will be responsible for managing our go to market strategy, working closely with our vendors and account teams to build a strong pipeline of opportunity, helping to convert those opportunities, and respond to bids when needed. They will also need to work closely with our capability teams to ensure we are building the right skillset of people to deliver on opportunities we sell.

Your role

We are looking for a high-calibre business focused data strategist with experience of mar-tech, with a particular focus on the role CDP's, data lakes, analytics solutions and reporting solutions play in the landscape. We need this individual to be able to work well with senior client and senior internal stakeholders and exemplify how data can add value to an organisation, and how Capgemini can add value to our clients.

Your role will broadly cover the following responsibilities:

  • Drive go-to-market strategy for the offer and raise awareness for the offer across the business.
  • Manage relationship with vendors/ partners and build a strong pipeline with Tealium, Salesforce, Adobe, Redpoint, Treasure Data, Acquia, Google and Microsoft
  • Build strong pipeline of opportunities from both new and existing accounts within the UK market.
  • Work with a pitch team and contribute to the solutions around bids and pitches
  • Will be expected to go into delivery roles on key accounts and oversee data and insight teams and add value to the account.
  • Work closely with the capability teams in the UK to ensure the right experience is available, if needed.
  • Support local markets across EU with growing their capability including training and certification targets.
  • Co-ordinate assets, case studies and support material across EU through the centre of excellence (COE)
  • Support markets in their DDCX pipeline and revenue targets and support them where needed to succeed.

Your profile

We're not expecting you to have experience in all of the below, but if you can demonstrate understanding of some of these the rest can be taught as you grow within your role:

  • Experience in data strategy, CRM or Data Driven Customer Experience roles with a strong understanding on Mar-tech landscape and different technologies like CDP, DMP, visualisation solutions and analytical solutions
  • Solid understanding of the technology market in areas such as Digital Experience Platforms, Personalisation, Marketing Automation, E-commerce, Data-Driven Customer Experience and the application of emerging technologies (e.g. GenAI, AR/VR) in the market.
  • Understanding of different types of data sources and how they can be used to generate value back to the business through enhance Customer Experiences.
  • Understanding of different vendors within the CDP space (e.g., Tealium/ Adobe experience platform) and how they differ from one another.
  • Experience with working on pitches or bid responses.

  • How to create a customer data strategy.
  • How to improve 1st party data collection strategy.
  • The role of tagging and taxonomy.
  • The importance of measurement and reporting and how to optimise it.
  • The role of analytics within a Data Driven transformation.
  • The role of GenAI in marketing, commerce, sales, and service.
  • The impact of 3rd party cookie deprecation.
  • Identifying the gaps in data that a business might benefit from collecting and how it adds value.
  • Creation of use cases in line with data strategy or data platforms
