About the Opportunity As a Data Engineer at Qscan Group, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technical data solutions to meet the organisation's needs, all while on a fixed-term full-time contract for 12 months. Reporting directly to the Data Manager, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that all technical aspects of data system planning, development, integration, and implementation align with the company's strategic priorities. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the performance and security of key internal databases, while also working with cross-functional teams to design and build data integration solutions using a cloud-first approach. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver IT solutions that meet the strategic priorities of Qscan Group.
• Scope, design, and develop data integration solutions with a cloud-first approach.
• Participate in scoping new data source requirements and maintain the performance of existing data integrations.
• Design and build internal databases for reporting and internal systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the Security Team to manage and monitor data access and encryption based on company RISK requirements and governance policies.
• Work with the Infrastructure Team to design and manage data infrastructure using a cloud-first approach and infrastructure as code principles.
• Collaborate with the Development and Integration Team to design and build internal APIs and middleware software for data integration purposes.
• Thoroughly test workflow use cases during data integration and execute change management requests as assigned.
• Address escalated support data or integration issues and perform data migrations and conversions as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role), or
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
