We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our innovative data team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and troubleshoot data solutions
- Optimise database performance
- Develop complex functions and stored procedures
- Analyse queries, develop security protocols, and resolve issues
- Exhibit strong programming skills in SQL and Python
- Implement and support data workloads (ETL/ELT) using modern technologies like Snowflake, Azure (Data Factory, Key Vault, Storage Accounts), Databricks, and dbt
- Support internal software developers, data analysts, and data scientists on various data products and initiatives
About You
You are passionate about data and possess the following skills and experience:
- Understanding of data warehouse and data lake concepts
- Experience with our tech stack (Microsoft Azure Data, Snowflake, and DBT)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in relational databases
- Experience in implementing and supporting ETL/ELT processes
- Proficiency in data profiling, data analysis, and data modeling
- Experience with data visualisation/analysis using Power BI is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and self-learning abilities
- Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative and contributing to the team
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid work model (3 days in the office)
- Must have full working rights in Australia
