Data Engineer Technical Lead

Hudson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer Lead to join a dynamic team with a total of 6 support personnel. As a Data Engineer Lead, you will play a pivotal role in building and supporting modern data warehousing/platforms in enterprise organizations or government entities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated expertise in Data Engineering, with a primary focus on developing and maintaining robust data platforms and warehouses.
KEY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Build data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflow orchestration.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure stack components such as Logic Apps, Data Factory, Data Lake, API Management, CosmosDB, and Synapse.
• Develop datamarts and data warehouses.
• Implement 'DevOps' practices, taking ownership of deployments, infrastructure, system administration, monitoring, and operations.
• Write clean code using current practices like CI/CD and orchestration.
• Support BI, data science, and AI/ML initiatives.
• Contribute to database design and physical, logical, and dimensional data modelling.
• Manage data quality and data migration processes.
• Provide leadership and direction to teams.
• Experience in data/solution architecture is desirable.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 & Microsoft Dataverse is desired but not mandatory.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience as a data specialist in enterprise organizations or government entities.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Informatica IDMC, or equivalent technologies/platforms.
• Experience in low-code development.
• Advanced SQL skills and a deep understanding of database technology.
• Familiarity with Agile practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
