Job Description
We are looking for a Data Governance Lead for our Data team in Sydney. Reporting to the GM Technology, this role will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and optimal use of our critical data assets helping to mitigating data-related risks. This role requires a mixture of hands on and strategic work and will focus on developing Symbio’s data capabilities across multiple teams
What you’ll do as a Data Governance Lead:
- Support the delivery of the group Data Governance framework while also focusing on specific activities for the business.
- Responsible for providing leadership and guidance across governance for our data.
- Leading the team and responsible for solutioning, developing, deploying, and supporting Data eco system.
- Overseeing our Data Governance framework and establishing information management practices.
- Owns the end-to-end delivery of the team’s products/platforms.
Qualifications
What you'll need to succeed:
- 10 years of industry experience
- Min 2 years’ experience in a Data Governance Lead role.
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and information management practices.
- Strong experience in modern data practice.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership quality.
