We are looking for a Data Governance Lead for our Data team in Sydney.  Reporting to the GM Technology, this role will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and optimal use of our critical data assets helping to mitigating data-related risks. This role requires a mixture of hands on and strategic work and will focus on developing Symbio’s data capabilities across multiple teams

What you’ll do as a Data Governance Lead:

• Support the delivery of the group Data Governance framework while also focusing on specific activities for the business.
• Responsible for providing leadership and guidance across governance for our data.
• Leading the team and responsible for solutioning, developing, deploying, and supporting Data eco system.
• Overseeing our Data Governance framework and establishing information management practices.
• Owns the end-to-end delivery of the team’s products/platforms.

What you'll need to succeed:

• 10 years of industry experience
• Min 2 years’ experience in a Data Governance Lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and information management practices.
• Strong experience in modern data practice.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership quality.
