Our culture celebrates diversity and prioritises wellbeing and belonging, ensuring our people can thrive.About The Role:The Student Journey Transformation (SJT) program is set to decommission an on-premises legacy student management system used in managing apprentice and trainee students and migrate to the JRPlus SMS that was rolled out to BKI in January 2023 for all other students. Reporting to the SJT Tech PM, this role will conduct data cleansing, mapping and the migration to JRPlus using the business requirements for core fields that must be migrated. This includes:
- Develop and implement the Data Migration Strategy and plan for migration.
- Work with subject matter experts and the project team to gather and document the technical requirements for Data Migration.
- Collaborating with the vendor, key BKI SMEs and stakeholders to understand the data structures and data usage.
- Perform source system data analysis and manage data mapping from source to target systems.
- Document data mapping tables for each BKI data source.
- This role requires extensive knowledge of MySQL databases, Data Migration tools, and best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and accuracy throughout the migration process.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Data Migration projects.
- Proven track record of leading successful Data Migration projects.
- Familiarity with Data Migration tools and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
