About the role
Reporting to the Data Practice Lead, the Data Practice Engineer will be primarily working on our business-critical Payroll Improvement Project.
The successful candidate will be providing support in the development of our data platform, as well as the on-going management and prompt addressment of technical issues/concerns related to data platforms. This role will also be responsible for identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices to optimise data quality and performance.
You will support high-priority project issues and contribute to product and process improvement initiatives.
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Must have 3+ years experience deploying and maintaining data platforms
- Demonstrated experience in building Data Engineering/ETL/Data Integration solutions
- Established experience in AWS data services such as Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Athena, Redshift, Dynamo DB and others
- Demonstratable expert knowledge on data modelling (star schemas, file-based sources), data mapping, data reconciliation and data validation.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Agile concepts and tools for source control, build automation, deployment and testing
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related discipline (highly preferred)
- AWS data engineering certifications (highly preferred)
- Exposure to Power BI or other visualization tools
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Experience in integration solution development leveraging AWS and Azure services.
Remuneration for this position will be aligned to the successful candidates relevant skills and expertise for the role.
