The Data Quality Officer contributes to the design and execution of a comprehensive Data Quality validation program. This involves formulating strategies for ongoing assessment and improvement of Data Quality. Responsibilities include leading training sessions on data systems for internal and external stakeholders, reviewing and addressing Data Quality problems, and identifying areas for improvement within the information management audit program. This role stands at the forefront of ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and the continuous improvement of Data Quality standards within the data management space.
Specific requirements of this position include but are not limited to;
Essential Criteria
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of data management and analytics, including experience in PowerBI, SQL, Python, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data using statistical methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to undertake stakeholder consultation, maintain and build strong working relationships, and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement data cleansing, validation, extraction, translation, loading, and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated understanding of health activity data collections.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and work effectively as part of a team.
- knowledge in best practice data management, and training.
Desirable Criteria
- A certificate or tertiary qualification.
- Experience working in the health industry.
- Knowledge and expertise in the use of clinical database system.
- Demonstrated experience with Medicare billing.
- Experience in providing training on technical systems.
