What to expect in the role
As a Data Scientist, you will form part of a team that engages directly with clients, reporting to a Principal/Director.
You will understand the client’s operational issues and challenges, gather data, and then analyse this data to produce actionable insights. You will be able to directly impact on decision making Australia’s leading organisations by combining data insights with contemporary operating model design and the development of technical solutions.
To do this, you will develop and use a mix of technical and analytical skills, supported by well developed communication skills.

About you
We are looking for people with strong data science skills. People who see can understand a problem, know the tools and techniques to apply to the analysis, and then can think creatively and critically to develop actionable insights.
We are after people with 2+ years of relevant work experience and a relevant tertiary degree.
We are seeking people who demonstrate the following skills:
- Collaboration – working as part of a consulting team to turn insights into actionable recommendations
- Communication - effectively convey findings and insights to technical and non technical stakeholders
- Technical skills
- High degree of proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, SQL)
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, including application of these algorithms to solve real-world problems, and being able to evaluate and interpret results
- Develop and implement machine learning pipelines through APIs, seamlessly integrating them with a data lakehouse environment
- Ability to build dashboards in PowerBI
- Analytical
- Utilise statistical methods to derive actionable insights from dashboards, graphs, benchmarks etc
- Recognise data patterns and trends, and construct predictive models using machine-learning and statistical algorithms
- Conduct thorough research to identify and implement suitable statistical algorithms and tools
- A genuine desire to learn, and share learnings
- Interest in in learning about large language deployment (LLM) model or Natural Language Processing (NLP) and language modeling would also be well considered, but not essential
