About the Role:

Due to rapid growth and a strong pipeline of client projects, we are currently looking for Data Scientists across all levels of experience, to work with both our Enterprise and Defence clients across several projects and disciplines, undertaking tasks such as but not limited to:

• Conducting applied research into machine learning methods for the Defence, Energy, Power & Utilities, Transport & Logistics, Mining, and many other industries.

• Analysing and visualising data to generate insights into the systems and simulations.

• Identifying research challenges and choosing appropriate machine learning methods to enhance decision-making processes.

• Choosing relevant features and preparing data sets for training, validation, and testing of machine learning models.

• Designing, implementing and training machine learning models.

• Crafting procedures and instruments to oversee and evaluate model efficiency and precision.

• Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to develop practical software solutions.

• Sharing outcomes (both written and verbal), with leaders and clients.

What we are looking for:

• Must have Australian Citizenship prior to commencement, and be willing to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.

• Must hold a degree in science, mathematics, engineering, statistics or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in statistical programming languages, notably Python or R, to manage, analyse, and derive insights from expansive data sets.

• Strong foundation in a diverse range of machine learning methodologies, including but not limited to: Deep Neural Networks, Graphical Models, and Reinforcement Learning.

• Hands-on coding experience, particularly in deploying and scaling machine learning solutions.

• Adeptness with key data science toolkits for data wrangling and visualization such as Pandas, JupyterLab, and Matplotlib.

• Proven expertise in crafting and applying sophisticated machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques, encompassing regression, simulation, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, and more.

These roles offer flexibility to work either full-time or part-time. Dependent on position, we offer the flexibility to work within the Adelaide CBD, Mawson Lakes, Edinburgh, and working from home (WFH) arrangements where suitable.
