Data Scientist

(Level A) $75,888 to $102,040 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.Fixed term, full time position available for 2 years.Data scientist within the Primary Care and Health Services Research Group.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with expertise in machine learning models, particularly in the areas of classification and predictive modelling.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applying data science techniques to electronic health records and developing innovative solutions for research on the diagnosis and management of health conditions.To be successful you will need:

• Bachelor degree and Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Stata, Python, SQL and/or R.
• Demonstrated expertise in building and deploying machine learning models of Classification and Predictive Modelling and Recommender Systems.
• Experience with relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven evidence of translating machine learning models into actionable insights.
