We're looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our team and manage the quality and validity of our health service data.
As a Data Scientist you will also be responsible for analysing data to identify trends and patterns and suggesting enhancements in the implementation and modification of current and future systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, collate, and analyze data for program and service performance evaluation, leveraging innovative methods to drive service, program and organisational improvements.
- Identify and rectify data quality issues, ensuring high standards in data management practices.
- Implement data quality improvement and privacy policies, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with wider teams to develop data collection and analysis methodologies for performance reporting and research.
- Support the development and use of health management systems and technology in planning and commissioning services.
- Develop and improve effective automated data visualization methods
- Lead Data and System training and education sessions to wider teams
- Provide Data collection and System support to wider teams
- Manage and coordinate reporting requirements, including timely execution of PMHC MDS reviews and uploads
Requirements:
Qualification and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Health Information, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation methods.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel required
- Experience in visualisation tools such as Power BI preferred but not essential
- Experience in healthcare data management is preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of healthcare procedures is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in System Administration (in particular Salesforce) is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to prepare technical, descriptive, and analytical data reports within specified timeframes.
- Proficiency in contributing meaningful data summaries and analyses to presentations and publications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and train others
- Excellent comprehensive writing skills.
- Ability to make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions.
- Structural and systematic approach to planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals.
