Your Role:

As a Data Scientist with Dashdot, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge machine-learning solutions that drive data-driven decision-making within our organisation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, build scalable models, and leverage cloud technologies to deliver impactful insights.

You will have a passion for GenAI and its potential to transform the property industry. This role will likely change and evolve as the company grows, but will always seek to serve our mission to transform the way Australia invests and become the number one property investment company in Australia by the end of the decade.

Your Responsibilities:

Drive Machine Learning Model Development:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models, including deep learning models, to address intricate business challenges.
  • Utilise advanced techniques to tackle tasks like property valuation, risk assessment, and portfolio optimisation.

Data Science Projects:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise data science projects that align with overarching business objectives.
  • Ensure that projects are strategically aligned and contribute effectively to business goals.

Utilise Technologies:

  • Harness Databricks for data engineering, model development, and advanced analytics endeavours.
  • Investigate and apply GenAI technologies to enhance services and deliver innovative solutions for the organisation.

Implementation and Communication:

  • Implement MLOps practices to streamline model deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Utilise Git for version control, fostering effective collaboration among team members.
  • Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through comprehensive reports, presentations, and impactful visualisations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all team meetings, 1:1 meetings, and Dashdot meetings.
  • Complete other Data and AI activities from time to time as required by management and senior leadership team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis techniques, including deep learning.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated data science tools.
  • Familiarity with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows.
  • Knowledge of GenAI technologies and their applications in the property industry.
  • Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as XGBoost, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI (Preferred).
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Passion for AI and its potential to transform industries.
