Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering and Architecture, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to derive actionable insights and champion data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with a variety of business stakeholders to unlock high-value use cases through the implementation of industry best-practice design and the development of technical solutions.
- Work closely with business analysts and divisional stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose AI/ML solutions.
- Undertake data preparation for analysis, including feature engineering, data cleaning, and preprocessing to ensure quality and suitability.
- Analyse large datasets to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Build and maintain predictive models to solve high-value business problems.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to a business audience, including the generation of captivating visualisations and reports to tell data-driven stories.
About you
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with proven experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI/ML projects. As a self-starter with strong communication skills, you excel in translating technical insights into actionable business recommendations and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in data science with strong statistical analysis and machine learning skills.
- Expertise in cloud native AI/ML platforms, preferably AWS SageMaker.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Jupyter and DevOps tools preferred.
- Knowledge of BI Concepts (i.e., ETL, dimensional modelling, data warehouse design, dashboarding).
