The Role
Manage and analyse various sources of logistics data to develop and maintain a logistics common operating picture for Logistics Operations Branch (LOB) to make informed decisions about the Defence Supply Chain. You will also work closely with other stakeholders to identify and develop appropriate reports and consolidate this data as part of the logistics common operating picture.
As part of the Joint Logistics Command (JLC) LOB Network Visibility Team, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Analysing data from various Defence logistics information systems to provide informed and reliable advice / reports to assist in the management of the Defence supply chain.
- Develop a logistic common operating picture using various databases and systems available within Defence.
- Maintaining currency of the logistics common operating picture (and supporting databases /logistics information systems) to ensure that the information is current, timely and relevant
- Draft key policy documents, identifying opportunities to improve information provision and manage Network Visibility Cell workflow and administration.
- Provide advice on logistics inventory management activities, policies and legislation for Defence units.
You will be part of the JLC Directorate of Operations, a team integral to JLC's mission of enabling Australian Defence Force (ADF) operations and readiness through effective and efficient logistics. The Directorate is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of all JLC Branches and ensuring the alignment of logistics support. As a Network Visibility Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery and analysis of data in support of ADF operations, exercises and CDF directed activities.

- A high level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to problem solve and to take initiative to identify alternative courses of action where applicable.
