In this role you will be responsible for data cleaning and data maintenance across the Retail Applications (Point of Sale, ERP (Business Central) and CRM). During the project, you will support the Master Data Owners and Stewards in each business function
and play a crucial role in system validation and integration testing, by validating that business use cases are functioning as intended. You will support business stakeholders and process leaders by analysing, validating, and displaying data so it can be most useful in driving system functionality and business results.
Responsibilities
- Develop thorough understanding of future state POS, ERP and CRM system design, understanding business implications and interdependencies of data.
- Ensure seamless data connection to global systems such as INFOR, BI, Fincart and other business applications.
- Review data with business data stewards for data cleansing and creation across applications.
- Participate in master data discovery, extraction, cleansing, conversion, and loading with business data stewards.
- Analyse, validate, prioritise, and execute requests for mass maintenance to ensure the appropriate standards and governance rules are maintained.
- Perform basic statistical and relational analysis of large data sets to identify and correct inconsistencies & anomalies.
- Support monitoring of data integrity, process adherence, and issue resolution during systems go-live.
- Collaborate with business functions to create data standardization to align with process and master data across applications.
- Ensure data requirements are captured in business use cases.
- Understand data bridge to legacy systems and reports, to support data stewards, stakeholders, and users as they adopt the new applications.
- Support development of an on-going training and user adoption model.
- Participate in User Review Testing and execute business scenarios.
- Support business data stewards with data integrity issues and questions during applications go-live & hyper-care.
- Work with business process leads, data stewards, key stakeholders, and end users to understand end-to-end, cross-functional data requirements.
- Work with the leadership team to make trade-off recommendations and provide value-added thought partnership.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science.
- Passion for data and the ways it can be managed and utilised.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize tools and processes for continuous improvement.
- Basic understanding of business processes/terminology
- Microsoft Office Intermediate to Advanced user, particularly strong in Excel and pivot tables.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI.
