About the role
As a pivotal team member in the Enterprise Technology Services, this role will be responsible for administration and management of Tableau & Power BI across Origin Energy.
With around 3000+ users across the business, this role will be working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the overall optimisation, health and continued high performance of the services.
Why the role matters
- Support and maintain Tableau Server and Microsoft Power BI platforms.
- Planning and management of various maintenance activities such as version upgrades, security patching, disaster recovery testing, capacity planning, etc.
- Engagement with the 3000+ community of Tableau and Power BI users and contribute with providing guidance on technology usage and advanced product knowledge.
- Development and updating of Architecture High Level Overview and Server Diagrams.
- Management of user access management processes for Tableau and Power BI with awareness of Origin IT security best practices.
- Alignment and integration of Tableau and Power BI practices integrate into overall data architectures and data management principles (e.g. data governance, data security, metadata, data quality).
- Management of incidents and service requests to exceed customer expectations and reduce impacts.
- Production of relevant reports and metrics as to performance and trends to effectively manage the service as required.
- Ensure that incident, request, and problem management meet audit requirements for both policy and process and provides end to end traceability.
- Good understanding of security especially data security, in the context of IT services and systems.
- Adheres to all Origin IT processes and policies and will seek guidance where necessary undertaking activity.
What you will bring
- 6+ years of experience working in data analytics roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Tableau and Power BI Administrator performing Installation, upgrading, monitoring, debugging, tuning and capacity planning.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with customers, senior management, and other technical teams.
- Experience determining and prioritizing your own work tasks, including identifying and proposing new work.
- Assist in developing training documentation including proactive identification of additional needs and enhancements.
- Ability / willingness to participate in production support activities, including after-hours support.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
