The Role
As the Database Administrator, you will form part of the national IT team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, integrity, and security of the firm’s database systems.
The Database Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our database systems which are critical to Mills Oakley’s business applications and data systems across the enterprise.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Database administration and maintenance;
- Data security and access control;
- Data analysis and reporting;
- Respond to incidents escalated to the Applications support team;
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of new applications;
- Perform application enhancements/changes requested by and agreed with the Firm, and
- Liaise with external software vendors and suppliers.
We are open to considering candidates based in any of our offices nationally.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be proficient with database management systems including Microsoft SQL and Oracle, and have a strong understanding of database security principles, business intelligence and Power BI, integration services, reporting services, and database development / scripting.
You will have excellent communication skills, collaborate effectively with team members, have good attention to detail, and have strong technical skills.
