Our utilities' client, based in Sydney, is looking for a Database Lead, to help bridge a gap in the infrastructure team. You will be bringing your technical knowledge of databases and leadership into one role.Your new role
As Database Lead, you will be responsible for the technical guidance to a team of DBA’s on-shore and offshore. You will set the standards to evaluate managed service vendors that support technical operations. You will also provide your knowledge of networking licencing in managing and maintaining SQL databases and Oracle databases.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in Developing the Database and Reporting strategy to adopt a hybrid hosting model with Azure cloud to align with overall technology strategy as well as the latest technology trends.
- Partnering with data engineering and analytics teams to build data governance standards and processes for multiple stakeholders that access data for various processes.
- Data analytics platform transformation experience moving from an on-premises system to an Azure data platform.
- Strong experience working in an enterprise environment with knowledge of infrastructure and data solutions, including a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
