About the role:
The purpose of the role is to provide IT systems, software and hardware support to all employees ensuring seamless operation from top to bottom.
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our systems and networks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the success of a rapidly expanding company in the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure rollout, Maintenance, Network Rollout and upkeep of IT and Telephony Infrastructure within IT Department.
This position is also responsible for effectively supporting the internal users on daily support issues, such as personal computing support, software implementation and support.
- Responsible for all Windows administration and Data center management.
- Migrate, Integrate, Configure and manage Windows Server infrastructure (Domain, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, Database, Antivirus Server & Clients, Files Server, Print Server, Backup Server).
- Install, Configure and manage VMware infrastructure, Firewall and SAN Storage.
- Responsible for Domain User Creation , managing backups, log checking and technical resolution.
- Maintain and configure IP telephony system.
- Lead in maintaining the network operations with Routers; Switches and Firewall.
- 5+ years experience in a large size company
- Experience in Network Engineering.
- Degree qualification in IT/related discipline or appropriate commercial experience
- Advanced skills and experience working with servers and operating systems (Windows, Linux, iOS, IPT) utilising On Prem /cloud-based services.
- Excellent Data Center Security, Firewall, Storage, Exchange Server management skills.
- Experience in managing DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and Active Directory
Operating systems, Internet and intranet support skill as Helpdesk Support - Cisco Network Associate / Cisco Network Professional.
- Excellent Knowledge on Virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V
- Experience in Hardware Monitoring tools
- Knowledge of networking including routing, switching, wireless access and SD-WAN technologies
- Experience managing Backup (Veeam) and Disaster Recovery products
Industry Certification (Microsoft, Fortinet NSE 4, etc) - Excellent troubleshooting skills across both Level 1 and Level 2 spectrums
- Knowing Cisco Meraki, VMware and Mac OS is a big plus.
