The Opportunity:
Be part of a passionate team working across 2 Day Centres, Alkira Respite and Day Therapy Centre, based at Booragul and East Lake Macquarie Dementia Service (ELMDS) in Belmont. Our centres are designed to help seniors stay active and social. We have tailored programs including but not limited to, group exercise, social outings and arts and crafts for the visitors to get involved in.
Your role as a Home Care Employee in the centres is to support our consumers to have a really great time!
This is a part time opportunity with flexibility to work across both Day Centres and also in our Home Care packages team for the right candidate.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Being responsive to consumers and families’ usual routine and standards, including consulting with consumers to determine the schedule and method of delivery of social support, allied health & therapies, transport or respite as outlined in the care plan.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for consumers attending any of our Anglican Care centres.
- Relating warmly to all consumers, respecting their dignity and self-esteem and maintain confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
- Support consumers to participate in the activities and therapies they choose.
- Ensuring that all care is timely and professionally attended and follows Anglican Care policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Follow individualised care and support plans promoting a focus on wellness, enablement and where appropriate timely and sensitive palliative care
- Delivering care in a professional, person centred and aged appropriate manner, respecting personal choice and autonomy as a customer of the service
About you?
- Certificate 111 in aged care
- Current drivers licence
- Current first aid, ongoing requirement
- Able to work effectively as an individual and part of a team
