We are a small but busy Day Procedure Endoscopy Hospital situated in the Mount Waverley area.
Qualifications & experience
- We are looking for an experienced Admission Officer who can preferably speak fluent English. Knowledge of Cantonese and Mandarin would be an advantage. A good eye for detail is required, as is good telephone technique and a caring attitude towards patients. We require an applicant who is happy to start as soon as possible.
- The successful candidate will need to have a good working knowledge of a medical database and experience working in a busy environment.
- They also must be proficient in all areas of medical admissions including patient bookings, setting up procedure lists, performing health fund checks, checking referrals, billing and recording of statistical data. Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with medical professionals and the public is essential.
Tasks & responsibilities
- We are seeking an experienced medical admissions person to work 3-5 days per week, in a busy Day Procedure hospital. The successful candidate will be handling phone and email endoscopy appointments for patients, preparing procedure lists for Specialists, checking referrals, conducting health fund checks and billing.
- Must have flexibility to occasionally help cover personal and annual leave.
