Your new role
- Design technical solutions and consumption patterns.
- Influences and guides stakeholders in the definition of requirements.
- Engage with project teams to govern implementation and adoption.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record as a DBA on IBM mainframe z/OS with Data Sharing.
- Experience with SAP solutions where the database resides on the z/OS mainframe platform.
- Understanding of IBM mainframe architecture including High Availability.
- Ideally, some z/OS coding skills such as REXX.
- Sound understanding of the principles of database design, concurrency and issues affecting performance and scalability in a high volume OLTP environment.
- Understanding of the security and encryption implications within z/OS mainframe.
- SQL development skills.
- Tuning skills in a high volume enterprise grade database.
- Understanding of coupling facilities, DB2 lock structures, SMF records and how they can be used in incident diagnosis.
- Some dev ops experience and exposure to tools supporting project and implementation pipelines.
