What you'll do

• Oversee the effective management of the operation to meet production requirements and performance targets around People, Safety, Service, Value
• Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively to achieve team and DC objectives
• Lead, motivate and engage team leaders and team members on the PM (14:00-22:00) shift
• Ensure that the team comply with safety policies, procedures and role responsibilities
• Use effective communication techniques to encourage open and honest communications and constant information flow
• Support implementation for continuous improvement of systems and our processes
• Review operational area performance and implement improvements to align with organisational strategy

What you'll bring

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development through coaching and mentoring
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders
• Results oriented and organised approach with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines and the ability to motivate others to deliver
• Working knowledge of a broad range of distribution centre systems eg. JDA (Warehouse Management System, Transport Management System, Yard Management System)
• Proficient in software such as the Microsoft and Google Suites
• Customer focussed, passionate and inclusive mindset
• Exposure to IR matters with experience in a unionised environment
