John Paul College are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Dean of Academic Welfare (Secondary) to join our College on a five (5) year contract commencing Semester Two, 2024.
This key leadership role within the Secondary Deans Leadership team will take responsibility for supporting the welfare, learning enhancement and pastoral programs at the College to ensure continuity across year levels.
Skills and Experience:Applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate:
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate, interact and manage staff, students and parents or other stakeholders.
- An understanding of and commitment to the John Paul College Strategic Vision and an ability to translate this into day-to-day practice.
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of current evidence based best practice in student welfare
- Emotional maturity, intelligence, and resilience to work amicably and collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Effective organisational and management skills and competent use of ICT in classroom practice and school operations
- Current QTC Registration including a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A commitment to professional development for delivery of effective pastoral initiatives.
