Address We are searching for dedicated and knowledgeable support workers that are highly experienced with the ability to be fair but firm and enjoy working with behavioural and personal care clients. We are looking for support works who are confident in completing roles in both community access and SILs Homes within the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Maitland areas.
You will be valued and supported by our team to ensure you can provide the same to participants within a casual role.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all required documentation is filled and completed to the highest standard.
- Liaise with stakeholders as required
- Managing any challenging behaviours that present in clients using a person centred approach
- Identifying and managing risk in accordance with WHS laws and legislation
- Ensuring Behavioural Support Plans are adhered to
- Use solution focussed problem solving skills to resolve conflicts to ensure ongoing quality of service
- Ensure the delivery of quality services
- Perform all aspects of care to clients
- Ensure reliability and punctuality to shifts
- Maintain ethical conduct in all areas of work
- Encouraging and supporting clients to engage in activities, including gentle prompting to complete self care tasks.
- Assisting with planning of daily activities and everyday life requirements such as finance management and problem solving.
Requirements
Certificate III or higher, relevant qualifications in disability
Valid Working with children's check
Valid NDIS check
All four of the NDIS modules provided on the NDIS website:
- Worker orientation module
- New worker induction module
- Supporting safe and enjoyable meals
- Supporting Effective communication
Children of the Guardian modules
