Defects Site Manager - Sydney
The Role
The defect project manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and quality of large-scale residential construction projects by effectively managing defect identification, rectification, and prevention processes.
- Defect Identification: Conduct thorough inspections of residential construction projects to identify defects, including structural issues, building code violations, and quality deficiencies.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the construction process, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to address defects promptly and effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure that construction work meets industry standards, building codes, and project specifications. Develop and enforce quality control protocols to prevent future defects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and liabilities associated with construction defects and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize adverse impacts on project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve defect management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall project quality. Incorporate lessons learned from past projects to prevent future defects and optimize construction practices.
