About You
- You are fit and strong - some of our products are heavy (trolleys and assistance are provided to make a safe work environment)
- You are Driven and Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- You have an excellent customer service focus with a friendly and likeable manner
- You are a good communicator who always acts with integrity and compassion
- You are willing to undergo an NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) New Workers Check
- You are willing to receive the flu and other vaccines as per government & NDIS directives that may be set for the industry.
- You have (or are willing to learn) technical and/or mechanical skills
Your Day to Day
You will be joining our warehouse and delivery team and will be required to work on your own as well as part of the Team.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be required to
- Prepare and check your deliveries for the day
- Deliver and set up Adjustable Beds and Lift & Recline chairs in customer's homes
- Explain basic operations and safety precautions to customers
- Remove unwanted goods, such as old beds or lounges
- Complete documentation for each delivery
- Load and unload vans, trucks and containers
- Preparing goods for dispatch
- Receiving of deliveries and filling purchase orders
- Repairs and maintenance work
- Assembling adjustable beds
- Carrying out quality control checks
Desirable skills and attributes
This role offers a lot of variety and the opportunity to learn many new skills. We have been growing rapidly over the past few years, so we are always looking at ways to improve the way we do things and value all your knowledge and experience
- Electrical and/or mechanical skills
- Warehousing experience
- Experience working with Mobility Aids
- Experience working with the elderly and with people who have special needs
- Experience as a removalist or furniture Delivery Driver
- Light Truck drivers licence - You can get this in the first 4 weeks
- Forklift drivers licence - You can get it in the first 4 weeks.
- White card
Let us know if you have any other experience or special skills that you can contribute, such as experience in manufacturing, welding, lifts etc
Industry experience is not essential but a willingness to learn and get involved is a must.
