About the role 

As we kick off 2024, we're on the hunt for a talented Delivery Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in spearheading successful initiatives while nurturing a culture centred on collaboration, adaptability, and continual growth. Your primary objective will be guiding and empowering your team, advocating for technical excellence, and ensuring the seamless delivery of initiatives. You'll have considerable influence in shaping our technological landscape, fostering innovation, and aligning engineering endeavours with our core business objectives.

The role will encompass a blend of new initiatives and the maintenance and modernisation of existing systems. You will be leading a pair of delivery squads with specific focuses on Advertising and Marketing Technologies, as well as Customer Self-Service capabilities. 

Preferably, we seek candidates situated within a feasible commuting distance from our primary headquarters on the Sunshine Coast (our top choice) or our recently established office in Fortitude Valley. We are open to further discussions with shortlisted candidates to explore the most suitable hybrid working arrangement. 

Key priorities: 

• Leadership: Inspire and guide high-performing teams, fostering a growth mindset, continuous learning, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making for exceptional outcomes.
• Delivery Excellence: Drive impactful, timely delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with strategic goals. Lead end-to-end agile processes, collaborate across teams, prioritise projects, foster continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements for customer empowerment and sustained success. 
• Engineering Excellence: Foster technical innovation, mentor cross-functional teams in problem-solving and skill development, advocate coding standards, champion modern technology approaches, ensure consistent test automation, and define team-based programming standards for scalable solutions. 
• Operations: Accountable for software solutions' operational aspects, smooth transition to production, proactive monitoring, and incident management, maintaining SLAs, advocating automation and DevOps practices, and promoting internal developer platforms for accelerated value delivery. 
• Financial Oversight: Manage initiative costs, optimise cloud expenses, aid in cost estimations for product initiatives, and support divisional budget management under the Head of Technology Delivery. 

About you 

You will: 

• Have a formal qualification(s) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Satisfy ASIC’s definition of “Fit and Proper Person” compliance obligations. 
• Have proven experience in technology management and leadership roles, with a focus on overseeing technology delivery functions, utilising agile methodologies (7+ years’ is a general indicator). 
• Have proven experience in advertising tools and technologies such as demand-side platforms, supply-side platforms, agency trading desks, ad servers and ad networks. 
• Be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of agile development methodologies and product management concepts, applying them in the dynamic world of software development. 
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to enable effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.  
• Be able to articulate your excellent leadership qualities and you motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams to achieve their best.  
• Be able to demonstrate your problem-solving and decision-making skills and how you approach challenges with a strategic mindset that aligns technology delivery with business objectives, focusing on scalability, reliability, and high performance.
