The Opportunity
As Delivery Manager, you'll play a crucial leadership role in overseeing project management and initiative delivery within our Delivery Enablement Chapter. Your primary focus will be motivating and equipping our teams with the necessary skills, tools, and capabilities to implement technology and process-focused changes efficiently and effectively. Reporting directly to the GM VOO, you'll be responsible for ensuring end-to-end delivery of multiple simultaneous projects aligned with HBF's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of strategically critical initiatives within the portfolio, addressing key dependencies and recommending decisions for sequencing and resource requirements.
- Manage large project delivery teams, ensuring clear focus on people management excellence and agile, efficient implementation of complex business-focused programs of work.
- Ensure consistent application of Initiative Governance Standard and compliance processes, identifying and proactively managing program and portfolio risks and issues.
- Establish a centre of excellence for the Delivery craft, supporting the growth and professional development of Chapter members.
- Provide regular performance feedback and support chapter members in developing professional development plans.
- Drive a performance-based culture, ensuring remuneration aligns with HBF’s Reward Strategy and workforce levels meet service demands effectively.
About You

More specifically you will be:
- At least 10 years' experience in a delivery-focused role, with a proven track record of success in delivering programs of work within timeframe and budget expectations.
- Project Management Certifications (in both agile and waterfall methodology) and membership of relevant professional associations preferred.
- Commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to drive change at an enterprise level across initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills, particularly in ambiguous circumstances and under pressure, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred.
- Health Insurance Industry experience preferred.
