- This Supply & Demand Planning role, manages initiatives in relation to logistics & supply chain and will be accountable for driving process, optimising the supply of finished goods from demand, procurement, sourcing, and shipment to customers as well as performing logistics/operations activities, managing day to day 3PL warehouse tasks.
- The position will drive continuous improvement projects in transport and warehouse operations by working with a 3PL provider. Driving cost savings and efficiency in transport and warehouse costs as well as in the customer service area, this person will be a key business partner to support sales, marketing, customer service, distributor business and distribution teams.
- This role contributes to effective planning of national stock, international replenishment plans with vendors and effective deployment and analysis of inventory.
- You will develop demand forecasts and review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. You will closely coordinate and communicate business action plans with global supply planning, demand planning and marketing and lead root-cause analysis into major forecast variances and lead initiatives to improve forecast accuracy.
- You will maintain demand plan to accurately represent future customer demand for the next 24 months and facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive actions in identifying potential demand issues quickly, reducing inventory obsolescence risk.
- You will proactively identify demand and inventory problems as they appear and act to mitigate against supply disruptions.
- Preferably university educated or tertiary qualifications in APICS/CPIM is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in demand, supply, and logistics planning.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S4 Hana.
- Strong analytic skills to manage large quantities of quantitative data.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Effective time management skills to be able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement.
